Climate Research (rain)

Why and How does it Rain?

Rain can happen anywhere in the world where clouds are present. Rain happens, because warm air turns the water from lakes, rivers, oceans and any other body of water into water vapor. The water vapor then rises into the air and forms clouds. The clouds contain water drops and or ice crystals. Whether they're water drops or ice crystals all depends on the height of clouds. The higher the cloud the colder it gets. When the water vapor gets to heavy it falls to the ground.

Variables For it to Rain

For it to rain you need to have a body of water, and with that water will rise creating the clouds that rain will come from.

The technology used to predict rain is advanced radars, instrimented balloons, weather satellites and remote sensing systems to measure things that are more than 100 miles away from the scope of radars.
Weather radars track and detect weather systems that are coming. Weather satellites watch the weather at the same speed that the earth travels.

Rain has an impact on a lot of things like our environment and also us as humen beings. Rain helps to give our environment the nutrients that it needs. Our plants need water to servive, and we need plants to servive. Not only do we need plants to servive, we need water to servive also. Rain is good for the environment, it only becomes bad when it floods, or when it becomes acid rain.

Warnings

Warnings for rain are given out by the weather stations around the area. Normally warnings about rain aren't given until it could become dangerous. For example warnings are given when there is going to be a thunder storm. If it is just going to rain normally it is shown on the daily forcast, but not shown as a warning
